怎样短期内记住大量单词? 背单词可快可慢,各有所长,亦有所短。

不过细嚼慢咽的方法我们多数人中学以来已操练多时,可谓轻车熟路。相比之下,要在短时间内记住大量的单词就更需要一点技巧。

主要就是针对增加被动词汇量而言的。 艾宾浩斯记忆曲线现在经常被提及,虽然它在某种程度上充当了商家炒作的作料。

但是就这个东西本身而言,倒是实实在在的统计科学的产物。人的记忆就是这么个类似指数曲线的规律,在你刚刚看过大量的单词之后,短期内会忘掉其中的大部分,而遗忘的速度是在逐渐下降的。

所以,越是新近学习的东西,越要抽出时间复习一下。督促自己复习,可以用一点技巧。

比如你想背一本toefl词汇,有整整几十个word list。可以先准备一张日历,上面每一天都对应着一个格子。

如果某一天你背了list 1,2和3,就在那天的格子中写上“1,2,3”,然后再朝后面一格格数过去,在后面第1,2,4,7,15,30天的格子里都写上“1,2,3”。 然后,以后每天在背单词之前,都先看看这一天的格子里写的数字,把相应的词汇复习一下。

背了新单词之后,把复习的日期填到表中。这样,其实就是用一种程序化的方式贯彻了记忆曲线的意图。

每天背多少新的单词,究竟要不要背新单词,可以根据这一天复习的工作量有多大而定,我不是很赞成在制表之初就把每一天新单词的工作量制订好,因为那样你会发现,几天过后,光是复习旧单词就够你受的了。 注意,重要的是复习,即使没有时间背新的单词,也要把要复习的单词看上一遍,不复习就等于前面根本就没有背过。

至于每次背新的单词可以背多少,我看是不必强求的。一般来讲,词汇量尚小的人,一次可以记住的新单词不会太多,二三十个也就可以了,而对于已经有一定词汇基础的人,有了词根词缀同义词的帮助,加上对词形的熟悉,一次背上百个新单词,也是可以的。
